Having fun taking it easy.  Notice the unassuming puddle right by the truck. It didn't appear deep..

On the way back I decide to go through the puddle....

unfortunately we couldn't get to the hooks on the front so we pulled it out backwards.. Well I could have/should have but it was under 2 feet of mud.

Starting on repair process, I had extra clips and got it all looking factory again.

another look, the truck had a cool baja feel to it before I got it back together.

Hood was previous damage, only the front clip and the plastic radiator skid shield got messed up.

Good pics (y), sorry bout the damage though.

I was surprised how easily that bottom piece you are talking about anglarry04 came off.  Guess I learned that lesson the hard way.

On the mod. If there was a front bumper mod that didn't make the truck look like a Mad Max death cruiser I would get it in a second.

I did take the running boards off. Makes the truck look much higher.

damm...you werent kidding!  Looks high up!  They are a slip hazard anyways.  The air dam thing I read on here somewhere before, then when I finally got my 08, I read it in the manual.

looks like what happend to my truck.  i was going through a puddle that happend to be deeper then i thought. my truck stopped in the middle and i thought i was in trouble. (2wd) so i pushed harder  :drive: that didn't work so i backed out and i was happy. i got my truck dirty had a little fun in the woods and as i was driving home i noticed every body was staring at me. well when i pulled into my garage i got out and looked at my front end.  :cuss: it was hanging by only 2 bolts.  it took 2 hours to put back on.

Yeah, that sucks :E: but it?s great how nice the front end looks once you piece it back together
.I haven?t been out in the deep since this one, still take it out on light trails.  (y)
