Put my spare on, I guess I have to thank the government for the TPMS. I got an warning then switch to the pressure and watched it going down. If I didn't have that then I would have drove past the gas station that helped me out. The lugs were so tight that I bent my lug wrench and another guys 4 way wrench. Then I got lucky that the gas station had a 3/4 drive set and a 6' cheater bar because it wasn't going to come off. I think I might get a road side assistance policy or carry a cheater and a 3/4 break over bar. So Friday when I get back home it will get my new set of tires.

Ok...don't laugh...but I rigged a hasty fix for my sagging #3 panel...lol
We had some pretty heavy rain come through here and my bed and lawn equipment were soaked due to a bad leak between the tailgate and the sagging #3 panel.   :needhug:

As you can see in the pic, I used a 5 gallon paint bucket to raise the jack up closer to the underneath of the panel and placed a plastic 5lb weight on the jack to keep it from digging into the panel.

I am hoping that today's heat and sun will help form it back into a slightly better level.

No, I didn't carry anything on it...I guess it has just happened over time.  This truck has always been in the southern heat, so I am assuming it has made it a little malleable.
This is why I am hoping that I can use the heat to reverse the process...lol

Tried to get the 4x4 back over the weekend.  Dealer said it was the transfer case encoder/shift motor.  Bought a used on at the yard.  Got the old one out, new one would not go in.  Old one would not go in.  Apparently this thing died in 4auto.  I just got it about 6 weeks ago.  Motors where just no lining up with any of the 4 positions.  Also - no power to the dang thing so likely not the problem anyway.  Got a TCCM to put in now an give that a try.  I know its not the switch or fuses.  Anyone have some helpful hints as to how to replace the TCCM let me know!  I would love to get a PM with details!  I gave up on it after we finally got the encoder motor back on.

Replaced both front DRL/Fog Lamp housings with new OEM parts that sure are clear compared to the originals.  Also replaced both original rear door speakers since one had gone bad.

Spending some quality time bonding with the AV is always a good thing.

Replaced the Factory ACDelco Battery with a Die Hard Gold.  Not bad for a 7 year old battery that still had power but when I had it tested it was only putting out 62 CCA.
I also had to replace the terminal screw as the old one would not come out of the Neg side post.  The entire side post just spun.  Ended up cutting it off.

Actually drove it for the first time in about 11 days. Dang battery was dead. Had to flip the switch and used the backup battery to get it started.

Took a little road trip over to Hot Springs.

Ate some good BBQ at McClard's.

Went to Oaklawn to let the casino have a shot at my bankroll.

Walked out with $72.00 more than I walked in with.

That paid for my gas and BBQ lunch with a little left over.

All in all, a pretty good day.

Unfortunately no.   :E:

I decided to drive with it still set up and after about 30 minutes, I took a turn a little sharp and heard the jack slide off the bucket.  I looked in the rearview mirror, and it went right back to where it was.

I am going to have to try something else.

I saw something on here awhile back that looked like it used a cut metal bedframe...so I am going to look for that and see what I come up with.

I think that all avalanches have a sagging last bed panel. What makes it worse is that the tailgate seems to have a very slight crown in it so even a straight last panel seems to sag when you look in the rear view mirror. I cut a 2x4 to length and use that to keep the last panel from sagging. Just wedge it between the floor and the panel.

That was another idea I was thinking of doing.
