Also got my fender as well.
I hope you got a GM fender for that. Have been going through pains lately with my 04. Bought two new after market fenders and the don't fit worth a crap.  :E: Ended up getting GM ones to put on.

When the shop put this bumper on in January, it did not fit properly on the drivers side. The installer says they are GM rejects they are supplied with. They used a heat gun to reform it but it did leave a 1/4" gap where it met the green paint, so Allstate had them paint both quarter panels. Looks like new now.  :4: They actually base / clear coated the bumper; It was acrylic urethane   before. $7,500 in damages but included two new front tires because they failed to do a front end alignment and ruined my tires.

So no they will not total it for that.

Maybe you should have had the front camera like code3Av...

 :P  sorry...couldn't resist.

Honestly, doesn't look too bad from the picture. I would be surprised if they total it. Jon can have it fixed up in his garage in a weekend...and probably put a D-max in at the same time...

I know they won't total it. I honestly thought about letting the chains that tied it down get a little loose, but I just bought that gooseneck and I didn't want to ruin the paint

The farmer I work for has a brother who has a body shop and I live with them during the summer so I can farm too. He said my core support is f#*%$!ed and my radiator is leaking. it bent part of the frame but he said he will be able to pull it. I just want and need a new duramax. I guess my insurance wont go up as much though. I have enough insurance to pay for as this year I will be paying 250K just for insurance. I prefer not to pay any more

Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

I will only accept GM parts to go back on as that is what got ruined.

Added some new speakers to the front today, drivers side died so replacement was needed. I gutted the factory speaker and wedged a Sony 6.5" 3 way in the housing, soldered the factory connector to the Sony speaker and everything sounds great and looks like I didn't touch a thing.

The front is a license plate camera also?
Both are same camera. Kinda strange leaving the front camera on while driving :o

Oil Change today. Also did Seafoam and replaced both belts.
Total took about 90 minutes so not too bad, but I think I lost 5 pounds in sweat alone.

Going to switch over to synthetic Mobil 1 full synthetic. Anyone run this? How long can I expect it to last before I need to change it again

I use Mobil 1 and I follow the DIC recommendation.

I change my oil between 6,200 and 7,500 miles when changing at 5% oil life or so left on the DIC.

Others will chime in and there are many threads discussing this hot topic.

Installed my 2nd set of new front shocks at 220000 miles. Rock Auto had a closeout on Gabriel Ultra shocks for 15 bucks each, definitely improved handling will be interesting to see how they last. Side note here is I still have the original Sachs shocks on the rear and they are still OK.  New ones listed on Rock Auto are almost 400 bucks each, no wonder they last forever.

My wife has a nice little cargo net in the trunk of her car, I like it, and use it all the time we take her car, so much I wanted one for the Avy. Here it is, what I did to my Avalanche today.

And Wyo, the weekend has just begun and you look to have had a full weekends worth of work already done.

Yep, 6 quarts is what you need.  If you have the 5.3 engine.  Not sure about the 8.1 though.  Be sure to compare prices on 6 1-qt bottles, compared to a 5-qt jug and 1 1-qt bottle.  Sometimes it's cheaper to buy that way, unless the 1-qt's are on sale.  Last oil change I did, I ended up getting 5 1-qt's and a filter for less than I would normally pay just for 5 qt's.  (I had a couple 1-qt's left over from my last oil change, so I didn't need 6 this time).
