Put some LTZ 20's with pro comp 305/55/20 tires on the z71

do they rub at all on the backside of the wheel wells? i have an ironbull bumper so im not worried about the front... are you able to get a full lock? looking to run the same sized duratrac tire on the same rims and same lift/level

$400 for MSD coils and wires (a deal from another member) and $35 for AC Delco Pro Iridium plugs (Amazon)... labor cost me an afternoon and some skin off my knuckles!

          First mod for the 04.
Swapped Billet tailgate handle from the 03.

Moved survival and my F%$* recovery system from the saddle bags.
Traded floor mates. Next will be the supper clean for the 03.

New radiator in the EXT.

Last one lasted 90K miles before the driver's side tank sprung a leak.

If this new one goes that far, I should be rolling 300K.

In the process broke the handle on the o4 that I was putting on the 03.  :E:
(trying to put 03 handle on 04 latch while on the 04)
So this is more of beware. The new handle worked for about three tries put the
cover back on would not open.  :E: :E: Open with needle nose pliers. Took cover back off.
Everything looked good.  ::) Pulled up on the handle the right side unlatched but no left side.
Then notice the rod on the left was sliding through the clamp.  :E: Took handle back off. Threads
on the clamp were not deep enough to grab the threads on the rod.  :E: :E: :E: :E: :E:
Put clamps from the broken handle on. All is well.
  So buyer beware.
Still better than paying $160 for an OME.

Started my restoration on my new to me 03.  Completely gutted the interior today....floor pans are in great shape.  Found about $1.30 in coins so that's a win.  Could have done without the nasty fries and sunflower seeds.  Have my carpet ready....waiting on my new two tone katzkins.  The old pad was soaked on the passenger side and midgate.  I know it sat under several inches of snow for a week before I bought it and every sunroof drain was plugged so I'm hoping now that I have those clear the water intrusion is stopped.  I cleaned the floor pan, dried it and put down some dry paper towels.  Going to rain the next day or two so I'll monitor before laying down new sound shield.

Sounds like you got a helluva project going on. Keep us updated and good luck with it. I always appreciate the extra work someone does to go through a full blown resto.

Thanks....I try to keep a build going on something.  I finished a frame off convertible dakota with a 400hp engine swap and finished that one last year for my wife.  Building this for me and then my son who turns 16 in 3 years.  At some point I'll start a buuld thread.  Taking pics now as I go along.

Was a mobil 1 guy untill my other 2 GM trucks started burning it.
Changed 1 to valvoline max life full synthetic and problem went away.

Because of this - at 7:00 PM and a forecasted high of 77 tomorrow, I swapped out my winter tires so I don't melt them.

I know I'm in the minority but I think it should be 10 degrees with a foot of snow on the ground.  This thermometer reading would be a perfect high temp in July, but not February.

Doing clean up on the 03. The buttons on the heated seat/seat recall/pedal switch control were worn off.
Found one on EBay for a decant price. Plugged into module to test everything worked except the heated seats.  :E:
Checked the passenger side dead.  ??? Took apart swapped boards still dead.  :E:
Headed for a break down swapping parts and checking fuses.  :'( :needhug:

I had the ignition in the run position. I donít know how long I was going in circles.  :E: Then I donít know why
I started the Avy.  :o Lights!!!!! When doing the fuses the heated seat/ignition 3 on the same fuse. So is there
a relay that gets fired when you start the Avy?  ???

I donít understand the logic behind this. Seems it would be nice setting in the cold having the heated seats
on without the Avy running.

Would be nice, but also a draw on the battery.  Most likely why they don't allow them on without the engine running.

Had a new oil pan installed on Friday to address an oil leak that has been there since I bought the truck back in 2012, but has gotten much worse in the proceeding years.

The bolts holding the oil cooler line adapter had been tightened and replaced and generally messed with over the years to where neither one could hold the adapter very well.

When screwed in, both bolts pointed outward in different directions and were generally loose.

The holes were just too boogered up for me to be comfortable with any further attempts at repair.

This repair seems to have greatly reduced my oil leaks, but I got under there today and saw a smaller amount of oil dripping from another location.

 :E:

I installed two new belts, idler pulley and both belt tensioners today.

Trying to get a few things freshened up before the summer traveling season gets here.

Lol...Nice and thx for the heads up.  I just replaced all four heater pads, and also the button controls for my seats as they were worn also.  Saved me a point of frustration :)
