New spark plugs and put on new quick disconnect for heater hose.

I have to ask: what is a quick disconnect for the heater hose for? Is this to backflush the system?

That's just the way the factory did to install the hoses quickly as the truck moved down the assembly line.

Not really needed after that point in time.

New (used) front differential assembly is now in my 2004.  Not too difficult, except for getting that dang Pitman arm loose from the steering rod.

$200 from E-bay (junkyard down south).  Clean and drained, free shipping and packed well.  What more could you want!

Took it to Discount Tire to get the tire pressure sensors replaced. Been nagging me with the light on the dash for a few years now.

Did full brake job (rotors/pads) to include painting calipers.  After a lot of reading ended up going with EBC Premium rotors and PowerStop Extreme pads.  The brakes respond so much better.  After 73K the OEM rear brakes were just about to wear indicator, the front brakes still looked good, could have gotten another 10K out of them.  Tomorrow (weather permitting) time for spring detailing.

There is a member here in the forum that has tried this and he reported that the sensors stop working in short order.

It appears the sensors go to sleep if they do not experience the centrifugal force of the turning tires.

Sounds good, but no bueno.

Mine on my 08 have been in a TPMS pipe bomb since 2013. Roughly once a year or so one or more stop reporting to the sensor. I pull it out of the saddle bag and roll it down the driveway a half dozen times and all is well in the world again. Only this past January did the trick not work. I'm thinking one is dead for real this time.
Pro-tip, stuff some poly or other material in with them so they don't rattle constantly.

Yesterday I replaced the AC belt tensioner, AC belt and serpentine belt.  The tensioner fully seized a month or two ago and cooked the belt - literally there was a lot of smoke.  Cleaned the MAF while I was in there since it was easier to do the belts by removing the intake tubes.

Well not really any more. Hubby did the mechanical thins to our vehicles. Since his passing my Av just goes to Chevy for servicing . I do want to get the AFM disabled though and I am going to see if my SIL can do it. He is a master mechanic but oh so busy most the time.

I bought an override device to kill AFM on my Camaro SS. I now have a Jannetty Racing Custom tune and so I don't use it anymore. Don't know if it's compatible with an Avalanche, but you can buy one off of Amazon. So easy, just plug it into the OBDII port and start truck.

well I know not where the port is or any other thing so I think I had better allow someone who knows what they are doing to handle it. Would love a trip to New England lol but that is a bit far to run for a fix

Got my bow ties vinvl wrapped in the same silver as the truck.  Been meaning to use that spray rubber coating stuff for years, but a local vinvy wrap place opened up, and only cost me $60.  Im very impressed how it looks, ties it with the truck now so well

I ordered a bunch of parts for the working girl, from the Rooter to the Tooter. Control arm upper and lower , motor mounts, transmissions mounts spring shackles spare tire mount, oil pressure sensor (it's been bad for 5 years)

I have to find the source of my tranny fluid leak and hope it's not a cracked rear housing flange caused by the transfer case hanging off the back of it unsupported(I think I have to Fab up something for it.)

Then I will grab up the great grand nephew's and take them down to the farm they have seen horses and rode horses now they will find out how to maintain horses, I think they will enjoy a good time.
