I have an 07 and I love my xm. I live in the mountains in western MD and my cm cuts out constantly... bridges, valleys, trees, birds LOL just kidding not birds but I don't have that problem with my Sirius in my other car. Is there a way to boost the signal so that it wont cut out all the time?

Sattelite... line of site signal...

Right and I don't understand why I have the problem so much with my AV but not with my Sirius in my gfs Saab

Where is the antenna located?

Sirius satelites are on different orbit.... so they get better reception up north,...

XM go round and round....QTY 2 one named Rock the other named ROLL

Sirrus does a figure 8 kind loop over north AMerica .. QTY 3...

some post in here somewhere way way back explains it

That shows the highly elliptical orbit of the sirius satellites.
The xm satellites are in a geostationary orbit over the equator like Dish and direcTV. Xm has 4 satellites now, but they just use the two new ones.

I dont think there is anyway to boost the signal though. If it was an aftermarket set-up I would say you could try to move the antenna but you cant do that with the factory radio.
