Has anyone installed a heated steering wheel in their 09-11 Avalanche?  Is it as simple as purchasing a SIR coil with the harness for heat and a heated steering wheel from a Yukon Denali or Escalade?  Any help would be appreciated.

Every thing showed up this week for this mod. I went with the ebony heated wheel, SRS coil, & the GM harness. I have not ripped in to this as of yet but plan to do so this weekend. The only question I have for the guys that have already done this mod, When using the GM harness, how do you fuse the new heated wheel? I will be installing in a 2010 LTZ. I would at least assume that you would need to increase a fuse size if the GM harness ties the system to an existing circuit? What has been done at this point?

There is a thread already on this subject. It gives part numbers and pictures.  So yes it's been done

For anyone who wants to know, when you install the complete kit, (Steering wheel 20998064 - SRS coil 25966964 - column harness 2580785:cool: in a 2010 Avalanche, everything needed to complete this mod is included. There is a fuse on the new harness for the heater elements in the wheel. Everything is plug and play. This job took me just over an hour to do and cost me less then $500 with parts delivered from GM Parts Direct. If you have any questions about this install please let me know.

Thanks!
I saw here that someone ordered the part from gmpartsdirect and it wasn't the heated wheel but there was question as to whether he was just sent the wrong part:  http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/105656-heated-steering-wheel-install-in-gmt-900-sierra/page-4
I also asked on this thread if anyone had ordered the part from gmparts direct and got the heated wheel:  http://chevyavalanchefanclub.com/cafcna/index.php/topic,130655.25.html

Also, for anyone looking to purchase this, it looks like this site is actually a little cheaper than gmpartsdirect:

(Steering wheel 20998064 - SRS coil 25966964 - column harness 2580785:cool: These were all the correct part numbers to complete this job. I was asked a question regarding this mod asking if this was a kit or all individual part numbers, everything had to be ordered separately as if you were replacing each piece, which his actually what you will be doing. This is a great mod for those of you who live in the northern parts of the country or just like to wave warm hands!!!
