2008 Model - Service Airbag message on DIC

The "Service Airbag" message is coming up on the DIC since this past weekend.  It intermittently goes away but is mostly on.  I found through searching old posts the TSB info and suggested troubleshooting for the earlier generation Avalanche.  I am not clear though if the same problem affects the current generation.  I also couldn't find a clear answer on which connector behind the drivers kick panel is for the airbag system, so I took the included photo.  Old posts reference a yellow connector - is that the one that is in this picture?

More background - this started right after my wife ran the battery down listening to the radio with the engine off...

I wish I could get this figured out! Hate to go to dealer to see if they can read a code!
