EVENTS

With all there is to see and do in Niagara Falls, there is no shortage of things to do when not engaged in ?All Things Avalanche?

A time will be set aside for a mini-modding session, as many members have the knowledge and experience to help with doing mods other members may shy away from.

Within walking distance of the KOA campground is
Martins Fantasy Island amusement park,
http://www.martinsfantasyisland.com/rides.html
and Pirates Plank mini-golf and go-carts.

For those that want to venture to the Canadian side for a better view of The Falls, there are a lot of free attractions and viewing areas and Clifton Hill has plenty of fun to offer.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The Sleep Inn Hotel and nearby KOA Campground are offering discounts for our CAFCNA group.

ACCOMODATIONS

In searching accommodations I realized this area is very pricey regardless of where you decide to rest your bag o? bones for the night.

The Sleep Inn Hotel and nearby KOA Campground are offering discounts for our CAFCNA group.

Both options will be made available.  As some people with children may find it cheaper and easier to do camping, while older and not so outdoorsy people may prefer the hotel.

The hotel is 10 miles (15 minutes) away from the campground.
Niagara Falls State Park (Closest point to The Falls) is only another 7 miles (10 minutes) down the road.

guess it is passport time ....

If I'm not mistaken, a secure drivers license will do at this time!  Somebody check on that, lol.

Only in neighboring states like Michigan.

You can get what they call a "passport card" which acts like a passport, but can only be used for "ground" crossings (which would apply here).  Can't use them for air or boat travel.  Need a full passport for that.

US PASSPORT info:
http://www.travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html

USA PASSPORT CARD INfo:
http://travel.state.gov/passport/ppt_card/ppt_card_3926.html

this is a low cost travel document for USa Citizens to and from Canada & Mexico

Entry/Exit info for Us Citizens in Canada should you choose to cross border:
http://www.travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1082.html#entry_requirements

I'm with OBB, we don't schedule vacations till April. Would be a great trip.

Thanks, checking into one of those now.

I don't know if I'd go that far. It's been over 20 years since I've been to the Falls and we crossed the border that day. The view is much better on the other side.  (y)

I hear ya OBB, I never have been on the US side either. Just concerned about the passport thing.

I think we may go ahead and get passports to have them. Ohio doesn't off an Enhanced DL like Michigan does. Thinking this may be a nice ride up from here too. ;D

It is on the NY side, but unless you wanna take the long way there from Michigan you'll have to come thru The Great White North.

Yeah I may do it too, planning a midwinter break superbowl weekend.

Plus in July my ID will not be in Michigan

This one looks like a probable for us !! We already have Passport cards from our cruise last year, they are good for driving or cruises that start and finish in the same city.
