WHAT!!! a new noise??

HELP...anyone heard this noise..even the dealealer after removing fender and cladding is stymied what this is....While driving at any speed there is a body knock almost like a heavy " oil caning " or metal flex sound when hitting short bumps ie. seams in the hwy or such.They are working on it with body mic's right know but I have little or no hope with that .. The sound can be duplicated when rocking the car and pressing down on the running board and can actually be felt generating metal flex near the upper drivers door mount on the body side not the door side...any suggestions .. or just get a new one?? PS 2002 Northface with 14k on it

I remember reading on here about one that had floor pans that flexed....and made a funny noise....another with bad door hinge area that also flexed....
