i have a 2002 chevy avalanche 1500 5.3l and the engine light is on saying i need to replace the knock sensor and i noticed it dont have that much power when taking off should i get this replaced?
Definitely replace ASAP, lots of info here on how to do it. Bad sensors retard timing and kill power and mpg. Use GM parts many have had issues with aftermarket sensors. Total cost of parts around $300.00 and about 6 hrs of labor.
