Azteks overtake the Northeast

Hi fellow Av'ers
This weekend July 25-26-27
Will be having our 3rd annuall Pontiac Aztek rally in the Lehigh Valley area of PA for a three day camping event supported by General Motors

Currently there are 54 Tek's signed up and 140 people
many members will be coming from Florida, the Midwest and Canada

Some will be in convoys, like we do with the Av GTG's

So if you see an influx of Aztek's traveling in you area
Flash them the Thunbs up

As the Aztek is closely related to the Avalanche

I'm actually bummed they decided to kill the Tek instead of modify it some more. The concept was a solid one and I believe there is a market for it - they just needed to work on some of the exterior parts a bit.

I just wish GM would have some cool GTG's for the Av owners out there.

I agree the Aztec was/is a great little truck, they just needed a more fitting nose design.

There is NO official confirmation from GM the the Tek has beem discontinued
Only the media is killing it :8:

As a matter of fact, one of the reps attending the rally, still has it in production with no end date

the front of the prototype Aztek had an awsome front

Hmmm...guess I've been reading unconfirmed hearsay on a whole bunch of websites.

I think the rear needs a little work too - due to visibility issues.

Look at how many spin offs the Az created all through the auto industry. It's not easy being first. Avers should know that.

CC, did you see the new decal package on the Calgary based Az? It was in a couple of pics of the Av.

GM is supposed to be bringing a 500hp Tek [we'll see]
last year the had the 345 hp supercharged Tek

No, what I meant was that 'my' Az has a new decal package on it. Nice set that runs 'up' the side of the truck from the front to the back wheel wells. Threw in a small pin stripe as well. Plus a couple of wolves in the back

The GM reps at the rally are working on the 2005 Aztek
So this will put an end to the rumors,, for now

They did have the Ultimate Rice Masher

I may be forced to do some mods on the Axtec just to keep peace. I don't know of many... What is the web site again?
