The Reese hitch hangs down a few inches below the bumper on the 2500 AV. So I thought it would be a good spot to mount tow hooks, it's 1/4 inch steel. I wouldn't use them to pull a stump, I would use a D-ring in the receiver. But They might come in handy on the trail to move stuff or someone..

They are made by Smitty Bilt PN 7605, picked them up for $14.99 each on eBay..

Looks good (y), however Id still be cautious about pulling someone out of a mud hole. I've seen tow hooks get ripped right out of the front of an AV, trying to pull someone out, I actually lost one trying to pull a dodge 2500 out of a ditch.

Interesting mod Randy.  (y)

Thanks for the info. Pulling out a stump is fine; the hitch just can't stand very much direct weight.
