I want to put back up sensors and camera or would one of them be just to much ? I stumbled upon the auto sonar and like the look of that one. The price on that is 100. I don't think that's too bad. The thing I don't like is the display that comes with it ? What do you think ? I'm thinking of putting and touchscreen in my av could I replace the LCD screen with the touchscreen somehow ? Like bundle all these things together ? I don't think the back up camera would be much in the interior just the back up camera outside and the screen right ?

Take a look at www.crutchfield.com and enter your model and year info. Their service is great and they can help you select all the parts and harnesses you need. It would be easy to have touchscreen, GPS and backup camera all in one....
If you don't decide to change the head unit but want to add GPS and backup camera, Garmin makes a great 7" GPS with camera and lifetime mapping updates for abut $400.
I would rather have backup camera vs. sensors but more detection methods the better.

I did both really cheap on mine.

Do you have a trailer hitch?  At Pep Boys a couple of years ago I picked up a sonar / step that fit right into the trailer hitch and was connected wirelessly to a beeper that you could put into the cigarette lighter.  I ended up permanently wiring the receiver to 12 volts.

It's this thing right here and works excellent.  I paid maybe $80 for it on sale.

Also, I put in a backup and front facing camera into the truck cheap.  I got a head unit from TMart, a Hong Kong outfit that sells stuff dirt cheap...the head unit is $156.11 with GPS and Bluetooth and several other features.  It works surprisingly well, runs Windows CE, is touchscreen, plays any movie or music format...it even has an AM / FM radio.  You'll have to get the GPS software from someplace, but it's not hard to find.  I ended up using Igo Primo.

The rear camera with night vision, mirroring with guidelines is $14...

Considering that Pioneer wants $400 for JUST THE GPS ADD ON this is a real bargain.  So far it's been a month and everything works fine.  The front facing camera was less than $10 on ebay, and a fit kit for the double din receiver was about $23 on ebay.

If you don't want to go that far, you can get a simple camera / display for around $50.  This is the guy I put into my Mother's Toyota...

Hope this helps!

What about snake eyes ? I hear about that camera a lot. But can't seem to find it ? I want a good one lol to put in the tailgate bezel with an automatic lock later on or maybe at the same time ? What do you think ?
