No reason why not. Blended to same standards. NAPA oil is Valvoline and have used for years with no problems. NAPA oil filters and air filters made by WIX and I like them as well.

Because for critical use items I won't buy retailer branded anything unless I fully understand it. Saving a very few dollars over known, trusted products ain't worth it

Oil is oil, as raiderron said it is all made to the same standards and just rebottled with there name.  Same goes for batteries, Three manufacturers in the states and put delco or diehard on them. a little research for facts goes along way to making judgments on brands and names.

I wouldn't use it unless I believed it to be equivalent and the same price or less to what I use which is Redline Synthetic.

If I wasn't trying to use the best synthetic I could get my hands on then yes, I'd buy it.

Sometimes people just have a comfort zone for certain products. If I can get the same quality and save some money then I am all over it. I see so many times on here where someone is asking for recommendations for the least expensive this or that and if money is their only concern then they have to live with maybe less quality. Sometimes spending a little more for better quality will save you more money in the long run. You all know this, I think! I trust Valvoline oil and Wix filters. I can save on both and change my oil soon enough that petroleum based oil is fine with me. I have always believed that synthetics are your best bet to cover extreme conditions and longevity. Petro based oils work IMO just as well in normal conditions and in shorter intervals. To each his/her own.

Is it labeled as API "SN" grade? Does it meet the minimum requirements for the vehicle you are putting it in? For example: GM 4718M, which some Corvettes required. If so, go ahead and use it and don't worry about it.

I believe synthetics are head and shoulders above dino oil in terms of protection so that's what I choose to use in every item I own that has a gasoline-powered engine. I currently use Pennzoil Platinum in the appropriate weight rating in all my vehicles.

Practically speaking, very few of us keep a vehicle for enough years or put enough miles on a vehicle for the oil used to make a significant difference, as long as regular maintenance is performed.

I've used oreilly's regular in mine before when its been on sale or comes with a filter.  Its graded just like any other oil.  why not?     I am also thinking of trying the HM cause my truck consumes a couple quarts per change.  If HM Oil holds up better like it says it does, it may actually save me money on oil.   If it burns up like the others, I'll be switching right back....  :-/

When I can buy 5 quart bottles at Walmart of Pennzoil platinum for 22 dollars, I see no need. That is cheap. Quaker state ultimate durability is even cheaper which is shell product also. 21 bucks I believe. Both fine oils.
