I registered just to say thank you to Keith for his write up on the D1 diode as a possible fix. I tried it yesterday on our 2013 BD LTZ and it worked like a charm saving us hundreds$.

The fix lasted for a few months and has failed again. I will be totally removing the old and replaced diode to see if a new diode will help. My thought is the old diode should have been removed which I did not do. I soldered the new one over the old on the visible side of the board. Seems like it was my mistake in viewing the photos posted. I will do a follow-up when finished. Soon I hope.

Ok , with a lot of work  :E:     I removed the old diode from the front of the circuit board and the one I added the first time in the back.
Soldered a new one in place and the lamp lights. I could not get the original one  >:( out of the lamp case  but hopefully it is a 4002 diode which I replaced.

The light works well now and again hopefully will keep working.
