Z71 package was a must have for me.  Got to have the locking rear diff.  I drive mine in deep snow. with the weight of this truck and the locking diff you rarely need to even put it in 4wd.  that being said, I drove this thing through 18" of snow effortlessly.  Had the 4wd on and really was impressed with the goodyear duratracs.

I currently have a 2WD '04.  I'm looking to eventually go to a Z71 4WD model. In the 2007+  is the  Z71 package also available to in 2WD? I sometimes run a search just by z71 in the title.

Later model years started offering the Z71 in 2wd.  Kind of crazy in my mind but guess not so much for the marketing folks.
