I've done a search and I can't find anything on this topic.
What I understand is it can be done. The Escalade cluster loses the analog oil temp and volts gauges, but moves them to the DIC. The DIC is much better on the Escalade, and shows MPH in digital format on all screens. The backlighting matches the Avalanche, and the blue needles don't look out of place.
What I also understand is that you need an adapter cable (for a lack of a better way to put it) so you can connect the GMT900 Avalanche/Silverado/Sierra/Yukon/Tahoe/Suburban harness into the Cadillac cluster (THIS is the kind of stupidity that had GM go bankrupt). I've seen the removal and replace procedure, only incrementally harder than the 2002-06.
The question is - where do I find the adapter cable? Does or did anyone make them here?
I'm thinking I want to swap the cluster as I've grown accustom to the DIC. I don't tow/haul so the volts and oil gauges being visible full time aren't as critical to me. There is a company in Kent that will swap miles and VIN and give me the required state paperwork so everything is above board and I don't throw any codes. Just need the adapter.
