Just spent a few days in PA and no Avalanches to be seen!

Had to go there for work.  Drove from Pittsburgh to DuBois and BrookVille, then back to Pittsburgh and didn't see a single Avalanche.  For Comparison in Portland, OR, I see several daily.  I did pass no fewer than seven roadkill deer...

That's not surprising. I lived in Pittsburgh for nearly 8 years. There's very few AVs in western PA. Did you stop in Emlenton for apple pie?

I was down in Carlisle a month ago and was amazed at how many Avalanches I saw there.

Didn't have much time to see the sights.  I thought about stopping in Punxsutawney for some groundhog though...
