Nope no cable it is all controlled by sensors and computers

You need to have your cluster rebuilt...

I used  http://www.instrumentclusters.com/
to rebuild my cluster, no complaints but I didn't realize Dash Doctor was in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
I probably could have drove down there in morning, had it rebuilt by lunch and still made it to work.

LMAO, many have and will continue to to it themselves, there is an excellent write up on it, i did all the stepper motors in the 03 and it was still workin like a charm when it was traded, dont be so negative Red, seems to be your favorite thing, haha

Rebuilt my cluster... 6 months later the power capacitor went out...

Didn't have a clue what was going on... Resoldered connections etc... Had it rebuilt... Been working great since and has lifetime warranty.

Sure I saved myself about $80 the first time and about 3 hours of my time. But I ordered the parts and had to wait for them to arrive etc.

When the unit stopped working all together I dropped it off at the guys house and picked it back up 2 hours later and has worked great since. Oh yea and he reinstalled my LED backlights, swapped my new white face into the unit and swapped out the needles for me.

Much less hassle.

I also toasted a cluster for another vehicle when I tried to do the same thing with it. Lifted a trace because I got it too hot and trashed it.

While someone that has experience can do the job, for MOST members here it is a better idea to send it out and have it rebuilt. Or drop it off if you have someone local. Generally they all seem to provide lifetime warranties. Since the new components should outlive the truck.. It is a job that is easy to mess up and when you try to resolve it the end product can be much more expensive.

Not being negative, being realistic.  If one feels confident in their soldering skills go for it. But I feel pretty confident in mine and a simple mistake took out a whole cluster costing me about double than just having it rebuilt would have. And doing it myself I didn't get a warranty..

Or cost yourself about 3x by doing it yourself if you mess up... ;)

I use a similar equation, it might take me 3x or more as long to do-it-myself if I don't mess up.
I've had available OT so long it becomes second nature. I can earn enough in one hour to pay for a job that might take someone 30 minutes but could take me hours even if I don't mess up.
