Used Autotrack II but manual says Dex IV

I have a 2013 4X4 with the 2 speed transfer case (Auto 4WD). Ill be damned, but the manual says dexron VI. Will Autotrack II damage the T case? Why was it changed? This is what happens when you check the internet before the manual...

I would change the fluid.

I know this is somewhat comparing apple to oranges, but my 2004 EXT with a single speed all wheel drive transfer case calls for DEXRON?-III Automatic

When I had mine serviced when I first got the truck, I used Mobil 1 ATF, which meets the spec.

With 190,000 total miles on the truck and around 80,000 miles since I bought it, no problems with the transfer case, so far.

I would go with what the manual calls for.
