I have searched around on the internet and found some similar issues but nothing quite the same.
I have a 2007 Avalanche LTZ. Recently, I started having issues with the keyless entry and remote start. At first, I noticed that I could not unlock my doors remotely. Then it seemed like none of the functions were working. I tried replacing the battery in my fob, but that did not help.
After that, I noticed that I could lock my doors with the fob if I do it right after I shut the truck off and close the door. I have a few minute window where it will lock. After that, the fob does nothing.
This all makes me think it is a problem with the truck and not the fob. At some point, I plan on getting another one anyway. I only have one. That will have to wait awhile though. They are expensive.
If anyone has any ideas, they would be much appreciated.
