2009 Hood Latch Cable

I'm looking for instructions to replace the hood latch cable.  The exterior aspect looks pretty straight forward, but under that dash is a different story.  Any help would be appreciated.

I couldn't open the hood on my 04 one day, I was trying to check fluids or add wiper fluid. I took it to Valvoline Instant Oil Change and let them mess with it. They got it open quite easy and sprayed it with something. I was due for an oil change anyway and they topped off all my fluids plus added air to 3 tires and the spare. The firmest tire was at a pressure I liked, I said "make the rest match it". They laughed, "that works"

I never has a problem again, I'd get someone to tighten it and spray the mechanisms with something rather that change it.

Do not know how hard this will be on an AVY.
