installed my winch wiring today

don't get confused by my winches lol, Phoenix Winches have very little wiring, this thread is about the Harbor Freight 12,000lb winch I'm transitioning from my Sierra to my Avalanche, in preparation for selling the Sierra

although the picture doesn't show very well, the 150 amp breaker box is attached to the fan shroud and the wires are run out in front of and below the radiator, the winch is connected with Anderson SB connectors which is great when you have thick winter gloves on, plug and play baby

I made the hitch plate for the winch several years ago out of 1/4" plate

I also whipped up a hitch mount skid plate for the AV out of some scraps I had

Nice job, are you sure that plate can handle 12,000 pull. ???
 
I hope you're not confusing the skid plate with the hitch mount, the hitch mount is super heavy duty, I'll try to remember to find and post pictures of it from when I made it
