But MyBigToy and I were going to go to Barret-Jackson there, hence the timing...

My guess will be that there will be a bunch of types due to former owners as there are owners.
Besides it would be great to see you at a try again.

Lord willing and the creek don't rise, Ashley and I will be there.

It will be a HUGE squeeze as I will be in between two clinical pharmacy sites, but I am hoping it works out so we can make it down late Friday night.

From my understanding from what I was told is that the information is out there, but since I do not use Facebook I really don't know..
But those that have told me I'm 100% positive it is..
The only thing that's not is probably the group code for the hotel.

Hope you both can make it down from Maryland, as it would be good to see you both..   Thumbs up!
Maybe I will end up underneath your truck again.  Cool!

I am just still hoping to be able to come at this point. Things have been CRAZY for me lately, and I have been out of touch.

I am hoping that my rotation schedule works out for me that weekend and I don't have to leave Friday evening and be back Sunday evening. That makes the 10-12 hour drive that much harder to make for less than one day  Sad

Issues arise. It is almost inevitable  Sad

I am getting over a bout with the stomach flu myself.. And I started working on the weekends in addition to my full weeks on my rotations... And we closed on the house finally, so I have it to take care of now.

I am a glutton for punishment apparently  barf

Need to get a part to Eric B. My son will be home this weekend and can take it back with him to UNC at Charlotte if someone could meet him there to pick it up for Eric B. I got him a midgate drain cover off a junker to replace a broken one on his.

Wednesday are his heavy class load day.  If the college wouldn't be too far out of your way we might be able to zip-tie the part onto the roof rack of his jeep and you could just roll through the dorm parking lot and take it off. It is the plastic midgate drain cover that pops off.

Unless he could meet me near 77, it might not work, like last year, I am trailering my AV again. And its a BIGGER trailer

Well, I have been putting this off long enough, and I can't put it off anymore..

We are not going to make it down for Nationals this year.

My work schedule did not play out as I had expected it to and at best if I get to leave right after work with zero traffic, we would get there around 5am or later Saturday Morning, and have to be back in WV by 3PM on Sunday..... I am so bummed  Cry

It looks like it is shaping up to be a FANTASTIC time, and I hope you all have a blast.

I look forward to seeing massive amounts of pictures. (The good and the bad)

I mulled it over for the last couple of weeks about how to make it work, changing days or working extra to make up the lost hours, but the job I am doing right now is most busy on Monday's and Friday's because everyone seems to get Discharged from the Hospital on those days.. My preceptor offered me Wednesday off in exchange, but obviously that didn't help.

I am working until 5:30-6 M-F and sometimes later depending on how busy we are. Last weekend as a stretch as well with what all was going on, but luckily it was fairly close.

Ya'll have fun  Sigh

Connor suggested Orlando with a trip to Disney.  Just tellin ya what I heard.
Connor better land a modeling gig if he wants to go there before he is 6-8 as if we keep coming to Avalanche GTGs it'll be that long before we have the $6k to donate to greedy shareholders of the Disney co. We priced it a few months ago just to see what we would be in for, and that was before flights. Talk about price gouging.

Florida in the summer, isn't it a bit hot down there.
Who knows.
It may not be in the summer again next time around
All depends who steps up and decides what to do.

That would be good, having the nationals in July I would have to force it into my schedule. Summer is extremely busy for most folks.

That may be another idea, I suggest you a post in the Colorado State area for a GTG and see if anyone is interested. I've spent some time in Boulder and Vail and loved it.

We have tried to get something in the western states, but  no one wanted to do anything.

I looked into Nic Punta Cana, as in Nickolodean TV, yesterday and it was pricey too, again, before flight!  Awesome all inclusive concept though!

Many years ago, we floated (haha) the idea of an Avalanches Cruise the Caribbean...there's some awesome deals to be had...

So what months would people prefer for a GTG?

I know we are limited by school now but with our year round option, we can still be somewhat flexible.

I vote late spring or mid fall--say April or late October-of course depending on the venue.

Florida in the summer isn't a good idea for a large group.  Traffic sux, long lines, no hotel will set aside a block of rooms... I could go on.

Oh, and Disney blows.  Not worth the trip to Orlando. Too many other things to do there for young and old peeps.

Ok, I know I threw it out there, but I was only kidding. Honestly I was. A large group in a theme park just throws a monkey wrench into anything that is attempted as a group. The Mini folks do one there, but Iíve not heard the best reviews abou5 group things. They have a good time at the park, but thei4 group things donít work as well

Summer is good from the standpoint o& kids out of school, but thereís th3 ton# of people traveling to deal with, thereís people having to decide if the GTG is their vacation or to skip it, so i5 may not be best. Spring and fall have thei4 advantages, especially milder temps.

plus, the parks can quickly go beyond someone's budget.  Parking, tickets, food...and the mandatory fastpass.  I can't see going without a fast pass.

We don't go often, but it's always universal/islands of adventure park hopper tickets with a speedpass for each.  The day trip costs nearly as much as a mortgage payment.
