Will Silverado rear bumper fit a 2007 Avalanche

Damaged the rear bumper of my 2007 Av.  (I do not have the bumper cover)  Does anyone know if the steel bumper from a Silverado Fleetside will fit a 2007 Av?  They do look VERY similar.

From my research trying to find a HD rear bumper for my 2011, I found that the rear bumpers for the 2002-2006 Tahoes, Suburbans, and Escalades stand a good chance of fitting, since the bumpers for the 2007-2013 Avalanches appear almost identical to them.  As for Silveradoes, I'm not sure.  It seems like it would be a good idea for GM to maintain as much parts commonality as possible, and I don't see any reasons why they would make them different.

YMMV.  I haven't yet had the opportunity to measure or test fit anything to verify.

if you need any measurements from a 14+ gm step bumper , let me know. I have one for modding to my wife's 2002. SHHHH don't tell anyone

I would really like to get a bumper with the steps in it for my 2011. It's a pain in the butt trying to get my big foot to fit on the tiny spot left on the bumper while the tail gate is down.

Alaska_AV...did you ever get the silverado side step bumper to work on your Avalanche? I am considering doing the same thing this year since I have to replace my rear bumper due to rust on my 2007. Also, do you still have the measurements for the bumper?

The rear frame on the 07 is wider and body is wider than 02-06's.  You may not need to mod it as much. I think it's been done on an 07+ though

Bodyguard Armor makes a pretty nice Front bumper that will fit our trucks. They make a rear bumper 'with steps and such for the Silverado. I've let them know there's interest in bumpers for Avalanches. It looks like it would take only a little modification to the design to make an Avalanche version. Pretty sure the bumpers would be cross compatible with the following:

2000-2006 Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon+XL, Escalade+ESV+EXT
2003-2006 Avalanche WBH
2007-2013 Avalanche

That's 60 total model/year combinations. Hundreds of thousands of which are still on the road.
