Hello everyone,
Been reading this for a couple of months but this is my first post.
I have recently bought a 2011 Avalanche LT, Z71. I am afflicted by the cracked dash syndrome and I have decided to replace it.
When I go online to any of the various GM parts dealers, the part number that comes up by entering my vehicle details is #23224747, however when the dealership looks it up by my VIN they come up with #19331336. I am fairly sure the latter was the dash panel with the useless anti-crack reinforcements that superseded the original dashboard part#20959607 which is now discontinued.
So what is part #23224747? I am confused.  Help me!

Thanks in advance!!

Max

PS- my dash is Ebony, and so are all those part numbers above

20959607 (Replaced by 19331336) - fits 2007-2011
23224747 - fits 2012-2013

How much of a difference there is between the model ranges is the real question. I wonder what was changed on the 2012s that the part had to be different. I can't remember when the center speaker was added. Wasn't that 2010?

The NAV HU changed in 2012, and that has a center speaker, but only with 'centerpoint' bose. I can't recall on my 2011, but do the older ones have a one piece dash? My 13 does not have any cracks after almost 5 years, but it is 2 piece, and I have never used anything besides a damp rag to clean it...

I don't have a center speaker, also my dash is two-piece
I too wonder what's different with the 2012-2013 model. I was hoping someone could enlighten us on that
