This is not unique to the Avalanche - but I'll start here anyway.
The truck has developed a rotational vibration - at 43 and 76 mph. Its like a low hum - its not shaking the steering wheel or crazy vibration - just a low rumble that goes away as you slow down or speed up through those speeds.
- Tires have been rotated - no change
- New brakes/rotors on all four - long story - but no change (went with slotted/drilled/paired with pads set - it never stopped so well!)
- 4wd or 2wd - does not matter
- uphill or coasting down hill - does not matter
- turning left or right does not change it
I had a Ford Expedition which had a rear drive shaft issue - that shook the entire truck (covered under warranty!)
So any thoughts on what I could check to better pinpoint the issue? Could it be the tires still - even after a rotation?
Thanks!
