2003 Avalanche Z71. What is the best modification I can do to Tighten up the steering? I have already replaced the shocks both front and back and also replaced the inner and outer tie rods and pitman arms.

Could be bad ball joints, A-Arm Bushings, Steering linkage from the steering wheel to the steering box, the steering box... Lots of possibilities.

Best bet is to take it to a professional and have it checked out. Or just replace all the parts until you find the one that makes it go away.

    As the above post.

If you want better input and handling. Upgrade your sway bar end links,
and bushings front, rear, also A-arms. A-arms check lower mine were
augured out from the end links. Check front and rear bump stops you can
upgrade them also.

Then you can take it a step further.

Ball joints and steering linkage are good. Just looking for mods to tighten up the steering.

A couple of years ago, my steering gear box started leaking.

I had it replaced.

I never knew just how loose my steering was before the repair.

All is nice and tight now, as it should be.

Forgot to add a steering stabilizer.

This was my next step this spring until I really stepped it up.

Can you say 2500.

I will be doing a Supper Street-Cognito on the 2500.

If everything else is in good shape, check your tire pressure. I was surprised how much difference an extra 5lbs can make.
