Nitto All Terrain Grappler G2 285/70/17 on 2002 Z71

Have a fitment question for all of you that have ventured into different tire/wheel combinations. I have a chance to pick up some Nitto All Terrain Grappler G2 285/70/17's that are mounted on stock 2011 GMC Sierra rims. From web searching it looks like the stock GMC rims are 7.5-8.5 which I believe are slightly wider than the 2002 Z71 AV rims. I'm wondering if this rim/tire combination will fit on my 02, and then if they fit , will I have to level the front end with Ford keys and/or modify the plastic in the fender well on the front? Any info is greatly appreciated !

BAck spacing may be different too.

Or...will the 285/70/17's mount on the stock 17" rims that came on my 2002 Z71 ? I'd really like some different blacked out rims with beefier LT tires but funding is tight. I'm noticing some cracking/age on the current Michelins that I've had for quite a few years, I don't put a lot of miles on the truck any more, about 7k a year. I hadn't thought about the offset on the 2011 rims, that could be a good point!

I just bought this 05 Z71 that has 285/70-17 Nitto G2 on it...fit fine no rub but he did crank on the torsion bars some. No rubbing.
