I've got a '05 Z71. I'm the 2nd owner of it. When I bought it, the onstar antenna was missing. So I bought an aftermarket one. It was stolen. (lame ass people) So I bought another antenna (aftermarket) with the GM adapter. It turns out the stud on the mount is stripped. My question is:
Can the stud be replaced or does the entire mount and assembly need to be replaced. I don't use onstar, but I like the 50 cal. bullet antenna I have for it. Which is why I want this fixed as badly as I do. TIA for advice & ideas to fix it.
*I priced out the antenna mount & assembly-$130+change (new). Not gonna happen.
