LOL. Yes, 48 degrees at peak (or is it 'valley') and it was between 95 and 100 degrees yesterday. I used an accurate digital thermometer. The reason I said what I did about the performance was that when set at 70, it took the temp down to that level (i.e., 48.7 or something like that), then the fan started slowing and the register temperature started rising (I presume it sensed the cabin was reaching 70 degrees). With that, I set the system to the lowest setting (i.e., 60), but it would never drive back down to that lowest performance level (i.e., 48.7). As I recall it went into the 50s, but not lower. My memory is a bit foggy given that I was also driving the vehicle on a crowded highway. :)

I replaced the compressor a few years ago when the system was leaking. Other than that, it is all original. (Not sure about the dryer.)
