Help with leveling kit info 03 1500 4xr z71
« on: 06/20/18 11:06 AM »

I apologize if there's plenty of Ino already on this topic, but I work 7/12's and trying to get answers as quick as possible.
Has anyone used this brand kit?
Does it use stock shock length?
Should I take it all the way to 3" in the front?
Is it level when finished?
What are your ground to bottom of wheel well measurements when done?
Do 285/17's fit OK after Install?
Thank you.

I would expect the back to still be higher than the front with that kit. If you want it perfectly level I would just use the leveling keys. Because that kit includes the shock extenders, you can use the stock length shocks. I wouldn't crank the torsion keys up all the way after you install the leveling keys because it will not allow the suspension to droop very far without hitting the frame.

I want to put new Bilsteins on it..
With a kit like this, do you suggest the 4600's with the shock extenders? Or 5100's without them?
Or...... 5100's with them?...
Appreciate any help.

I have leveling keys with 2in spacer in the rear and 5100 shocks. I think it rides great. I also have E rated 285/70/17 so it feels more like a truck, but still rides very well. I recommend the 5100s, but I've also heard good things about rancho shocks. In my opinion, it's best to get longer shocks and eliminate the shock extenders.

I have what is basically the same kit, but I went with the 2" rear spacer.  With the bars almost completely cranked, it sits pretty close to level.  I'm on 33x12.5x20 with no rubbing.  I did have to do some minor trimming on the front bumper.
