OK. I'm trying to remove my Bug Guard. Removed the screws
they were like impacted in. Went to lift it off will not budge.
There is two sided tape  :E: :E: :E: :E: :E:  :9: on the lips on the underside of the hood.
So far tried a putty knife any suggestions be fore I loose it and break it off.

Hope everyone is having a safe and enjoyable Independence Day.

Dental floss or fishing line.

start at one end and install like a rope saw so it cuts the double sided tape.

cut the entire length.
once off you can clean up the other side with one of the decal eraser things on a drill or some WD40 and elbow grease.

Yes, this is the best way but use 140lbs test line.

Thanks to you all. Will see today.

+1 on letting the chemicals do the work after you have flossed through it.  Spray wd40 and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.  I have used it on my wife's 2013 tahoe after it got nailed with nasty oily road tar...yuk!  it didn't hurt the paint job.  I used almost an entire can of wd40!  Just wash it all off with soap and water right after it does its job.  You might even try spraying some before you floss.
