I searched everywhere and took the cover and glove box off and I got stumped.
So checked manual then google warriord for answers, All i got was that access to it wasn't included after 02?
can someone tell me how else will I be able to access it or clean it?  ???

Well only 02s had the cabin air filter.

MS03 2500 is correct only the 2002 AV had the filter as factory equipment. Some owners of 2003-2006 AVs did modify on their own and add the filter. Not sure if any second gen (2007-2013) AV owners attempted the mod to add the filter.

Well technically there are a few very early 2003 that have one also.

I bought a Dorman kit for my 2013... but haven't have the time or guts to do it yet!  :E:

I bought the Dorman kit on Amazon and installed it on my 2005. A bit tedious and helps if you are a contortionist. A dremel can help smooth out the cuts. Works good but the filter is a might expensive. When you compare the factory filter and the Dorman, Dorman cleverly turned the folds 90 degrees so you can curl up the filter to get it in since the floor is so close. A simple change which GM could have done if they had engineers as ingenious as Dorman. When I opened up the slot I found lots of dirt, leaf pieces, and pine needles on the evaporator over the years so I think it's worth it. Took a bit of cleaning but now I only have to change the filter once in a while.

So the '06s don't have a filter at all, no way to use a retofit kit?
There are retrofit kits out there.  I have seen on a few other threads where members have installed retrofit kits.  Just can't remember where I saw it.

Here is the kit... you just have to cut a hole in the bottom of the HVAC box under the dash, slide in the filter and then screw on the included cover.
