Maybe 7 or 8 years hiatus after being busy with a start up biz. But still have 02 Avy. Have not driven the truck much after hauling much of renovation material for my start up biz the last 10 years and haven't had the time to check in. Did a number of mods double din with tailgate back up cam, retrofit 03 steering wheel to ditch 02 steering wheel, EXT third brake and sail panels painted to match indigo blue. Denali cluster with tranny temp. Fusion all clads. Still thankful for this forum for the current and past members to help each other out. That's the beauty thing about this forum!  (y)

Now resurrecting the fading old truck. Repair quarter panel rust by cutting out the rusted pieces and weld on new section. Yes there is more rust spots here and there. Front end suspension rebuilt. New tranny front & rear differential. Added 3" leveling kit and Fuel Cleaver D574 wheels and 33" tires. Replace all bulbs with LED's. Doing away the fusioned clads that faded to dull black. Currently sanding down all clads to smooth to be painted indigo blue. Hopefully to get this done in a few weeks from now so I can drive just in time for winter. Stay tuned for pics

Welcome back. (y)

:welcome:  I?ve been missing as well. I messed up and sold my Avy several years back and have been regretting it ever since. Looking for another now to hopefully buy soon and get back in my favorite ride. If anyone has any leads in the southeast I?m in the market!

Hey guys welcome back as well. Reviving my old avy. Cut out the rusted quarter panels and welded on new section. Basecoat and clears. Also hours and hours of da sanding the clads smooth with 80/320/800 grits. Adhesion promotion/hi build primer. Far from done but getting there. Even remembered to sand smooth tailgate handle and color match. Still gotta do the saddles and tailgate spoiler. Here's a few pics if I could upload some...

Trust me you dont want to do that unless you got a few buddies to help you out. Took me over 70 man hours to do all cladding sanded smooth and professionally painted.

Cladding pieces for painting spread all over...

Entire frame POR15'd... fortunately, the frame only had surface rust. Would be too much time to grind down to bare metal. Wire brush and pressure water before POR15 coats.

Another angle... looking wbh-ish. I put 3" leveling kit on it is what it made seems. Front and rear bumpers will be put on this weekend. Waiting on a set of new headlights/park lamps and adding 30" curved light bar to the inside grille. Wetsanding & polishing. New Fuel D574's on 33x17. Stay tuned...

Just have one pic tonight... new wheels on. Waiting on order for the spare wheel carrier tool retaining ring. Rusted out cannot be saved to transfer to new rear reinforcement bar to go with the new trailer hitch bar.
