Spent the past few days trying to figure this out and finally got most of it done.  Now to accessorize.

Will work on the front portion of the rack tomorrow and post pics as soon as i'm done.

Been  while since i've posted on here but after my trailer build I realized I need to take some weight off the trailer.

Spent the week up at Mammoth in the back country and had to figure some things out.

Nice work!

What material did you use for the rack?

I'd love to see some close up photos of how the rack is attached to the truck bed and roof.

Aluminum.

My trailer is all aluminum except for the chassis so everything is riveted.  I just put an L bracket along the bed cover rail and screw that down so it sits between the saddle bag doors and the bed panels which I'm going to be changing out anyway.  Currently the front portion is mounted to the stock roof rack but that will eventually change and will be mounted independently.

I went with aluminum because didn't want have to deal with corrosion from steel plus I had a bunch of aluminum sitting around.

I also had to chop the saddle bag doors to fit in between the side of the rack.  I'll post more pictures later.

side panels for forward rack.  Templating the curve was a little difficult but seemed to work out great.
