Help me identify this piece of rubber?

My wife found this under the Avalanche, therefore, of course, it's presumed to be part of the Avy.

I'm not quite as sure.  In fact, I'm quite doubtful, but I don't want to leave a stone unturned.

It's some kind of rubber damper.  It's eerily familiar but I can't place it.  The gap of the ledge is quite characteristic, as is the obvious bit where it fits in a hole.  I just can't recall what this is.

Any help??  Anyone??

Looks like a isolator for leaf springs , but I think they were just round .
