2008 Avalanche 4WD LTZ will not start after filling with gas.

This happened once last year around June. Finally started after about 2 hours waiting on AAA.

Then the last 2 fill ups happened again.  AAA tow truck came out and it started with him there. He said "must be fuel pump".

I tried only 15 gallons last time. Same thing wont start for 2 hours.

Wife googled it and said "yep its the fuel pump" Stupid me, I believed her ughhhhh

Replaced fuel pump. Poured in about 3 gallons of fuel it started. Yipeeee! This morning added 8 more gallons. NO JOY! WONT START!

Well, check the fuel pressure at the fuel rails. Any engine codes?

Thanks for the reply. I can do that, if I can find my gauges. Been long time since I needed them.

Yes. its throwing the PO 496 code. Which I have checked on. It seems that one of the 2 purge valves may be the culprit. Back to the drawing board. ughh

Turned out to be the "Purge Valve Solenoid" under the hood on top of the Intake manifold.
