Hey all...
My son was driving home from Maine earlier today and called me to say his truck seemed to have gone into neutral while driving so he pulled over. He did get out to check for leaks and also his tranny fluid. All was fine. I had him put his transfer case into "auto" and drive a bit in the bdl to make sure it was NOT in 4 wheel drive. He was able to get it home while in auto.
The truck doesn't move with the selector in 2H but moves in 4H. When 4L is selected it just flashes but doesn't engage.
After "Googling" the symptoms, we found it could be 1 of 3 parts. Switch, TCCM, or the motor. Possibly even a ground short. Has anyone had this happen or can someone offer where to start checking?
