It is a resistor installed in the IAT circuit to send altered temp signals to the PCM so a more agressive air / fuel mix is used ...

It's is similar to doing an IAT relocate on an older GEN II engine ...

If the IAT gets heat soaked under the hood after extended traffic/idle periods, the sensor will read hotter than the actual air coming in, and the hotter the sensor reading, the less aggressive the power tables used in the PCM ... (power losses result)

Don't know how they work as resistors are of different values and I don't know how and if it would benefit some trucks ... The resistor may not work for the same model truck in different climates the same way ...

I would not buy it, but that's me ... Just trying to tell you what it is supposed to do ...

I'll tell you 20 HP is a streeeeetch though ...
