Location of Bose amp in 2003 model?

Greetings,

Could anyone definitively tell me where the factory amp is located in a 2003 model with the Bose system. I have replaced my headunit and would like to bypass the factory amp. Have done a search with many hits, but all concerning 2002 model Avalanche - not 2003. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

In my 2003 model with Bose in dash CD stacker the amp is under the centre console.

Contact JP Customs or kodiakz. They may have a suggestion; possibly a PAC adapter.

Just a little note. You can pop the drink holder out and run your hand down under the console and you can feel the heat fins on the amp.
