Ideas for a Denver Christmas Light GTG

Here are a few ideas for a Christmas Light GTG for mainly the Denver area members.  Not to exclude anyone else from the Springs or elsewhere if they care to join us but that being a Christmas light gtg I would hazard a guess that people may not want to drive too far to get to or home from a gtg like this that will be held after the sun goes down.  Everyone is more than welcome to come.

Bandimere Speedway:  This is a drive through light display so we can enjoy the lights from the warmth and comfort of our Avs!

Denver Botanic Gardens:  I haven't tried this but if anyone has let us know if we should check it out.

Denver Zoo:  This one is pretty cool to see what animals might be active after dark as well as the extensive light displays.

Obviously we can check out one or perhaps all of these light displays.  I'd like to know which one or ones people prefer to focus on.  Let me know!

update on Mile High Lites @ Bandimere Speedway

The Mile High Lights at Bandimere Speedway, presented by Village Homes, comes back to "Thunder Mountain" for the 2005 holiday season.  Denver's only drive-thru holiday lights show offers all new displays for all ages.  Mile High Lights will begin on Thursday, November 24th (Thanksgiving) and will continue to run through January 1st.



Mile High Lites Schedule:

November 24, 25, 26, 27

December 2-4, 9-11, 16-31

January 1

5:30-10:00 pm Sundays - Thursdays

5:30-11:00 pm Fridays & Saturdays

Miles High Lites Pricing:

$15 / Car
$20 / Van or Limo
$30 / Small Bus
$40 / Large Bus

Anytime is good except Dec. 3. for us!  Yes going to eat first would be good too.

Sorry Chris... things got a little hectic around Thanksgiving here and are now getting back to normal.  I'll set up a time for a couple of these light displays and let everyone know..

Sorry for the delay on this event.  Here's what we're looking to do.

When: Friday, Dec. 16th @ 7:00.
Where: Parking area across from the Conoco @ C-470 & Morrison Rd.
Why: Check out the Mile High Lights at Bandimere Speedway
Who: Colorado Av Club families of course!

Let's meet at the parking area above at 7 pm or before.  We'll stick around for 10-20 minutes for any late arrivals.  We'll lineup and drive on to Bandimere and check out the light display.  Afterwards we can all head to Perkins just north of Hampden Ave/287 on Wadsworth Blvd for some pie & coffee & hot chocolate.  Please respond via email and/or to one of the following threads so we know who we'll have to look for on friday night.
