I have a 07 avalanche and the cruise doesn't work intermittently?  Anyone else have this problem?

Yes I did.  It took four trips to the dealership to finally diagnose the problem.  Each time it failed to set, I took it the dealer and they troubleshot and replaced a different component such as the BCM.  Finally after some coaxing I convinced them to try the brake pedal switch.  I was assured that it was not the problem.  But I guess to shut me up, they reluctantly replaced the switch.  That was about 9K miles and 6 months ago.  No re-occurrence as of yet.  I hope this helps.
