I will not be going to Nationals  veryveryangry  I have a prior commitment.

But I wanted to offer my testimony to the GSMR.
I have been on this when I lived in Arkansas and was on my college debate team, we had a tournament in N.C and a few of us took a day to go on the train and check out the sites.  I have to say it was pretty cool  Thumbs up!

I hope some of you lucky people take advantage of some American history.

I would definitely want to do this. Just need to look at the schedule and make choices. Look like a lot of fun.

How long is the overall trip? Sounds like the minimum time is 2 hours driving, 4 to 4.5 hours on the train, and another 2 hours driving. Add in some time to allow waiting for the train to depart, and to get people organized for the drive back, and it sounds like it's at least 9 hours that we would be gone, maybe 10? Does this sound right? Or am I missing something?

We will be camping, and will have some dogs with us back at camp. While the trip sounds interesting, I don't think the dogs will be able to cross their legs that long! Shocked
