Meet 2003 - Camping and Cabins:
SATURDAY, JULY 19, 2003 THROUGH SUNDAY, JULY 27, 2003:
KOA
Campground - Rapid City: (800) 562-8504. Located off of
Exit 61 on the edge or Rapid City, the KOA Campground offers one and two
room Kamping Kabins for $59 a night. The campground features a
snackbar, swimming pool and hot tub as well as other standard KOA
features. You can call them directly at (605) 348-2111. Early
reservations are STRONGLY recommended!
Lake Park Campground and Cottages: (800) 644-CAMP or (605)
341-5320. Located on Chapel Lane and on scenic Canyon Lake in Rapid
City, Lake Park Campground and Cottages offers scenic shady sites within
spitting distance of the city. Studio, one and two bedroom cottages
are available. You can fish, have access to eight miles of walking
trails, rent boats and have all sorts of fun. Rates range from
$18.50 for a campsite to $105 for a two-bedroom cottage. Early
reservations are STRONGLY recommended!
Mystery
Mountain Resort:
(800) 658-2267. Located off US Highway 16 eight miles south of Rapid
City, the 38-acre Mystery Mountain Resort offers 33 cabins and 115
campsites. Many of their cabins have TV's, kitchen facilities and
private bathrooms! On-site recreational facilities include a modern
playground area for children, horseshoe pits, a swimming pool and hot tub
facility, wooded hiking trails, a petrified wood trail and a mysterious
old cabin. Free pancake breakfast every morning. Rates range
from $24 a night a tent site to $185 a night for a family reunion cabin
with maid service that will sleep eight. Early reservations are
STRONGLY recommended!
