I'm seeing the term ambers used and I'm curious what they mean by it?

is it that they're daytime running lights are on all the time? are those bulbs even amber?

the Wrangler Forum I'm on had a sticky post that was terms and definitions. seemed super helpful for getting a newbie up to speed quicker.

BTW, these Bosch's linked below are amber glass. Some of the others, I think Sylvania included, have a coated/painted glass that can flake off after time. I just did this switch a week or two ago after one burnt out.

I really like the look of the amber DRL, but it is positioned a little too close to the amber turn signal for my liking on the 2nd gens, and I may eventually switch back. Other vehicles shut off the DRL on the side the turn signal is flashing, which would be great, but on ours the DRL stays on during turn signal.. I'll try to get a picture of what I mean and post it in the next couple days..

Yeah. I went with amber LED. Regular bulbs tend to burn out the sockets over time.

AMber DRLs were the first reported AVY mod on the forums way back .

Became a way to tell who knew about the club...

It is a cheap and easy mod on the first gen trucks...

20streetrod06 you might find this thread that has been around here since 2003 for info:

Also if you use normal bulbs for replacement but choose amber look for ones marked NAL at end of part number it means that the glass is yellow and it's not just painted yellow.
