What did you do to your Avalanche today?

Just put a new Blower motor and resistor in the AV today.. Next in line is front and rear Transfer Cases new grease and gasket. Then next month transmission filter and actuator and Fluid. May I hope to replace all the Disc Brakes and Rotors. Hopefully this summer new Coil Packs and Plugs and new tires.. 171 miles and runs great. Have to do a little at a time, because I live on a small D.A.V. pension from my service 47 years ago lol.. Yup I am old as dirt lol.. Hope everyone is doing well..

I'm pretty sure I blew a seal in the master cylinder when some idiot tried to cross 3 lanes when they could not see incoming traffic. So back to a mushy brake pedal for now.
Sir, that sounds like where I live. Make a person wonder how they survive doing that.

Well I bought from Rockauto..A new Key FOB(Didn't get here yet)....Air Filter(Not here yet) and Cabin Filter....NGK indium Plugs...
Ok I'll have to admit I haven't changed a set of plugs in...mmmm 20 years and this one was a Female Dog on the passenger side but I got it done, thank god I'll never have to do these again LOL...
Opened up the cabin filter box under the dash as I saw in a YouTube video..And what the heck. They either moved it or my LTZ doesn't have one.. wasted $8 , guess I could sell it on craigslist
The FOB will be here tomorrow with the programmer and the filter Tuesday..
I changed my Blower Motor and Resistor today. Inside the Blower Cage was red Mulch for the yard. I cannot figure out how they managed that. Probably a good Cup full of the stuff. Makes one go HMMM!!!. I also had to replace FOB last week too. Thank God it was easy to program both of them..

What did you use to do the black out. I see all kinds of videos on UTube showing different techiques. Looks good though.

I used a bbq black high temp spray paint (it has a really flat almost chalkish color) and finished with flat clear coat. The pic doesn’t do it justice. It has held up to a couple of power washes so far.

I installed the a pillar tweeter pods I maid this weekend.

That brings back memories Evansaero from many years ago we used to call that "the mag lite mod" and on the other door we would install a small fire extinguisher. Some members used 3M VHB molding tape instead of screws too.

I saw Mag mod when googling av mods which came from this site. I had 2 mags installed in my tahoe on the floor where the center console would have been. Loved having a heavy flashlight for self-protection close by but since I have a center console with my av I had to do the saddlebag door.

Now I want to do the fire extinguisher mod but have yet to find what size people are using. I'd like a 2.5 lbs extinguisher but not sure it will fit the door. As for 3M VHB molding tape, I thought about that for a quick sec but no way it will hold when I spend time playing golf in the 115-degree temps during summer lol

Might just cutout the knock-out for the cabin filter since I have the filter already and I'll put duck tape over the end until I pay $38 for the lid that covers the filter..
The guy in the video used a hack-saw blade..I've got a vibrating saw that should work easier

Over the weekend I put wheels from a 2020 Duromax Silverado. I love the way it looks. Takeoffs have less than 1,000 miles on them. Don't think the tpms frequencies are the same tho.
