Okay, my Engine Light came on.... Went to the Auto Part store to use their code reader and I got "P015D" They said it's an OXygen sensor 2nd bank (Passenger side?) before the catalyst convertor..
I just want to confirm that with you guys

I did clear it to see if it comes back...

It's not a "Replace the O2 sensor code". Just a starting point in a factory diagnostic chart. Auto parts stores always seem to miss this point.

Well stated...

IT is step one in trouble shooting any check engine light.
READ CODE.
Then go to manufacturer Service boom under the code and see what to do next....

Or for us home mechanic types... google it online until you find a good website that explains how to trouble shoot.

MAny things could cause that code to register in computer.

Hello All. Would this sensor failure cause a cylinder to start to misfire? We had a code come and go and we did not replace when the original check engine light came on. Now we have a misfire issue.

depends on code and what was issue.
