2004 Avalanche will not charge battery

At first I thought it was a bad alternator. Replaced it and the output voltage is still 2.7V. Same as the old one. Was thinking maybe a bad ground somewhere, but was just wanting to see if this was a notorious problem and if there is one specific ground to look into?

Body Control Module, I think you said it your other post about this that the dealer told you that?
 
Yeah sorry if I didn't introduce myself. I've had my '04 for about 5 years now and have lurked here before and I believe found the fix for the passenger/window wires in the floorboard being notorious for insulation coming off and grounding out into the body.
Anyways, problem fixed. Had a trickle charger harness that was connected to the red distribution box. That must have fried out and grounded out the alternator to the body. Removed it and the battery is now being charged.
